Utilities

The City of Buffalo manages the water and sewer systems; the city also contracts garbage disposal services. The city provides billing services for these three utilities: Payment and tap fee information. Below you will find the information for all other utility services such as electricity, natural gas and landline telephone.

Pay Utility Bills Online

You can pay your bill by check, savings, credit card, or debit card by going online, downloading a mobile payment app, or by calling a toll-free number. You can also view your bill online or on the mobile app.

**Please note– Online balances are updated after midnight daily, excluding weekends. Any payments made after 7 pm will not post the following day. Payments made after the 15th of the month will incur a 10% late fee. The fee will not be reflected in your online balance until the following day. If not paid, the late charge will be included in your next month’s billing cycle. If you are disconnect and pay the balance shown online, please be aware that there will be a $40 reconnect fee added to your account and that must be paid before re-connection may occur. We do not receive alerts when payments are made online. If you are disconnected and make payment online, call us to let us know so that we may make arrangements to re-connect your service.**

If there is no answer at the above numbers, please contact the Leon County Sheriff’s office dispatcher at 903-536-2749. They will alert the proper staff.
