Payments made after the 15th of the month will incur a 10% late fee. The fee will not be reflected in your online balance until the following day. If not paid, the late charge will be included in your next month’s billing cycle. If you are disconnect and pay the balance shown online, please be aware that there will be a $40 reconnect fee added to your account and that must be paid before re-connection may occur. We do not receive alerts when payments are made online. If you are disconnected and make payment online, call us to let us know so that we may make arrangements to re-connect your service.**

If you would like to sign up for this service, please call 903-322-4741 or email firstname.lastname@example.org and we can get you signed up using your bank routing and account numbers. Bank drafts are usually completed on the 15th of each month unless it falls on a weekend, then it is completed on the following Monday. This is a free service.

The City of Buffalo Administration office lobby will remain open for as long as we are safely able to do so. In an effort to reduce any risk to the health of our employees, we would like to encourage our citizens to use the following methods to submit payments when not using the online or postal systems:
DROP BOX: We now offer two drop box options!
Option 1: Drive-thru drop box located on the north side of the building– Checks or money orders only. No cash please. If you need to pay with cash after hours, use the drop box on the front of the building.
Option 2: Drop box on the front of the administration building– Cash, checks, or money orders. If you want to limit your contact with staff, you may place your payments in the drop box during office hours. Please use an envelope and include your payment stub (or the name shown on the account if you don’t have the stub) when using this option. Any overage on cash payments will be applied as a credit towards the next month’s bill. Drop boxes are checked twice a day during regular working hours only. They will be checked more frequently during the day if the lobby is forced to close.
If you have not received a bill or do not know your balance due, log in to your account online or call us at 903-322-4741. We know that the current health crisis is taking a toll on everyone and we will do what we can to assist our customers.
All City residential and business customers pay each month for water used. The city provides enrollment for AirMedCare membership; membership is $5.00, billed on water bill every month.
Would you like to contribute to the Buffalo Volunteer Fire Department? A voluntary contribution can be made monthly in the amount of $2.00 on your water bill and you have the option to exclude the payment whenever you need to. Contact city hall to obtain an application.

Payment Due Dates
Utility bills are due between the 1st and 15th of each month. A 10% late charge is added to the bill, after the 15th of each month. If the 15th falls on a weekend or holiday, you have the following day to pay without a late fee. If the bill remains unpaid, service will be disconnected 10 working days after the due date. A $40.00 fee is charged for reconnection of service.
Forms of Payment
Note – Payment convenience fees apply: 2.75% (+$0.50 for payments under $100.00) for credit/debit cards; $1.00 for check/savings payments. Online bills can be viewed for free.
No fee is added when paying by mail or drop box check, money order or cash. Returned checks will be charged a $30.00 fee and, if left unpaid, will result in the disconnection of water service.
