Buffalo Fire Department

Volunteers Are Always Welcome

Buffalo Volunteer Fire Department has been serving the community for over 50 years. We specialize in fire and rescue service, covering over 180 square miles of Leon County, Texas.

The Buffalo Volunteer Fire Department is always seeking volunteers to help with every facet of the fire department: from truck washing to fund raising to emergency services and of course fire fighting.

Join the devoted members of the Buffalo Volunteer Fire Department on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Tuesdays of the month at 6:30 pm at the fire station located at 223 Main Street to see what you can do to help with your fire district’s safety, and to consider becoming a member of the Buffalo Volunteer Fire Department!

All of our volunteers are dedicated to serving and protecting the members of the community. When you Dial 911, you can count on help showing up. In addition, all of our volunteers strive and train to be professional and friendly. We are also here to answer any questions you may have about our department or our services.

Do you need fire safety tips for your home or some other information fire-or safety-related?
